What solids can hydrogen migrate through?

I know hydrogen has a tendancy to migrate through metal and make it brittle. Would this still occur on ceramic coated metal, or maybe even cryo-treated metal?
The metal in question by the way is cast aluminum.
Brass Metal Casting

Only certain glass-ceramics like a aluminosilicate or barium silicate provide adequate protection against hydrogen diffusion in metals. In the aviation industry protections of two or three different layers are used, like SiC and SiO2.
As Al oxidizes at the surface, 50 µm of Al2O3 would be a good first layer.
