the surfer is dead
I don’t think so. Neither ever played a significant role in the avengers. The whole Daredevil franchise is pretty much dead right now after his movie and the silver surfer would just not really have any place in the film. I think they’re trying to take established movie characters, such as iron man and hulk and try and establish other characters, such as captain america and thor.
No, neither of them were ever Avengers to my knowledge. The lineup so far consists of Ironman, the Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Ant-man/Giant-man and Wasp, lead, of course by Gen. Nick Fury.
Neither of them have been Avengers…the other problem is that the rights to both the Silver Surfer and Daredevil are both owned by FOX.
