I like to do custom costume jewelry. Is there a market for that?
On-line? To match custom designer pieces? I am versitle with materials and live near wholesalers and know where to get items. I also have a huge inventory of supplies at home and tools. I do not do silver work or casting, but do findings and wirewrap and handknottting. I learn new techniques frequently and keep up with trends. My trun around time can be 24 hours or less.
How should I market this? I will do whatever is demanded by fashion. I am versitle.
I will use from plastic to coral and gemstones. Not material is off limits. I use all mentals. I use stainless, sterling, vermielli, brass and copper.
If someone can tell me how to list properly on ebay that would be fine. This is not junk, so people are not going to get it for $1.00. This is art stuff.
Family and friends are already wearing my designs custom made for their specific style. They get complements constantly. Perhaps they should carry cards with a web site.
Which Nora Roberts Trilogy Would You Most Like to See on the Silver Screen?
I love Nora and am especially fond of her trilogies. I wonder which one you would like to see as movies, and who you might cast given your druthers. Thanks!
Where can I get the supplies to make a mold for casting iron or silver? I don’t like the sandbox method.?
I’ve seen on the internet where people use a pile of sand packed tightly to impress the object they want to cast and pour the molten metal into the hole in the sand. Even with fine sand, this does not produce the smoothest surfaces and sometimes the sand becomes embedded in the casting. I knew someone who cast pewter statues and he used this green foam-rubber looking stuff to make molds. Anybody know what I’m talking about?
