A look at the Blue Rooster Cast Aluminum Chiminea from CHINA…. Hyped as so much better than any clay Chiminea from Mexico. NOT So for the one they sold me! My review is on Epinions.com and here are some pictures and points to explain my thoughts. Every single day, the Clay Chiminea looks better with all it’s perfect hand made detail work and NO flaws after months of hard use. Every singe day and after just a single week, the Cast Aluminum Blue Rooster Chiminea looks like your typical CRAP from China with it’s cracks, voids, Pitts, sloppy grinding from Hell, TERRIBLE casting marks etc. The hinged door has over 1 inch of up & down play (slop!), it is about on par with chicken wire as far as “quality” goes. I could have bought 4 new additional Clay Chimineas for the price I paid for this single MADE IN CHINA Blue Rooster product. Wish I had but they charge you a fortune to send it back. Only after this review did they offer me to return it free but at the same time, accuse me of extortion? This would make my retuning it look like just that! The Blue Rooster president watched this video and only then, offered to take it back but again, threatening me with legal action making it impossible to accept. He also admits his products are NOT of this terrible quality “normally”, and mine must have somehow slipped past inspection process???? (Later he admitted mine IS the same “quality” as shipped). All I know is I find it very odd it seems impossible to just send me one of these …
