My dentist recommended a metal cast for restoration of a root canal tooth?
In what cases do I need a metal cast? I read online that metal casts may cause further stress on the tooth. Do I have any other option? Do I need a second opinion or just accept the treatment recommended by dentist.This tooth supports a bridge along with one another adjacent supporting tooth.

What are the differences between these? I just got a root canal, and the tooth has a temporary filling, and it has part silver filling in it as well.. It broke before (part of the tooth came out) so what is the best crown to get if you had to estimate? I dont know what is the difference between any of them. I need to know so i can find an appropriate dental plan/rates.

PS. It is a molar tooth in the back top of my mouth (tooth number 14)
